Coral Crag is located on the north side of the Cascade River about 2 km upstream from Black Feather Canyon. It is not reached from that direction, however, and is accessed via the Cascade Fire Road, as described below. The cliff is formed from steeply tilted beds of limestone which have weathered nicely but have few major features. The harder climbs on
the main wall have a similar style and typically involve highly technical, almost vertical face climbing on small edges and crimps. All of the climbs are fully bolted and well equipped for sport climbing. The cliffs face southwest and get the sun from midday onwards.
