The Promised Land is the uppermost rock band on the north side of Death Valley, stretching from the head of the valley to The Punchbowl. Long ignored, it is a complex area of choss interspersed with some reasonable rock. It is a place reserved for those with a love of exploration and, again, Colin Reece was active here. Reference points from left to right are The Three Amigos, The Ogre and The Parallel Walls. The top of the old climb Crystal Ridge is to the right of The Parallel Walls.
