Little Eiger
United States | Little Eiger | Rock Climbing Clear Creek
SPORT TRADITIONAL
The Eiger! If you’re ready for over 20 tall and fantastic Clear Creek moderates, then Little Eiger is the place to go. Most of the routes are in the 5.10 range and push the 100-foot mark, with a few that require a 70-meter rope. It is a great place to come to for a quick pump after work, especially with its close proximity to the road and short drive up the canyon. If you do happen to have the whole day, go for “Little Eiger in a day” by climbing every route to get in over 2,000 feet of climbing! This wall gets a little bit of sun in the mornings and a touch of sun the late afternoon, but stays shaded most of the day.
Approach: Park on the north (right) side of the road 4.4 miles up the canyon; the trail will be directly across from you on the south side of the road. This is just past the bridge that is shortly after the 267.5 milemarker sign. A two-minute hike takes you to the base of the wall and the first route you see is the classic Bush Administration (5.10b). There is extra parking a few hundred feet away on the east side of the bridge.
