Rebel Wall
United States | The Long Stretch | Rock Climbing Clear Creek
SPORT TRADITIONAL
While Clear Creek Canyon isn’t typically known for its large amount of traditional climbs, Rebel Wall is one of the many walls where you can find some fun gear routes. It’s hard to come to Rebel Wall and not climb the beautiful Body English (5.9) dihedral, or even test your mental composure on routes like Jump Start (5.11c R) or Down to the Wire (5.11c R). This wall faces south, is high in the canyon, and gets sun most of the day, especially midday, making it a great wall to find some warm sun in the winter.
Approach: Drive 7.7 miles up the canyon and park on the south (left) side of the road in a large dirt parking area. Locate the Nightworm Pinnacle (previous page), then hike up and to the right of it. Follow a gully uphill for about 50 feet, then angle up and to the right for a few switchbacks to get to the left side of the wall.
