Fairchild Mountain (13,502’) rises to the northeast of Ypsilon Mountain and is among the most
remote and least frequented of all peaks having technical routes in Rocky Mountain National Park.
All routes described are scrambles except those in the Crystal Lake Cirque.
Approach via the Lawn Lake Trail (p408). The easiest descent from the summit is via the Northeast
Slope (p418)
