Mahana Peak is located 0.5 miles east of the Continental Divide, midway between Tanima Peak (to the north) and Mount Copeland (to the south); it is also 0.62 miles east-southeast of Isolation Peak. It is a mere hill among its towering neighbors, but the view from the summit makes it a worthy objective. The Bluebird Lake Trail is the best approach, though it can be reached from the Thunder Lake Trail as for Eagles Beak .
