Look for this inconspicuous cliff above the Emerald Lake Trail, maybe 150 yards beyond Nymph Lake, where the trail makes a switchback to the south. These routes are best climbed from early to mid winter. The lower aspects of the routes will be buried under snow by spring, and most of the ice will have sublimated or fallen off. There is some danger of avalanche from the slope above the wall. Source: Gillett, 2001.
