Passage along the bottom a Shady Valley between Doctors’ Wall and Blipvert is restricted to a narrow slot. Here the trail squeezes between a fin of rock holding back a jumble of talus to the east, and to the west the massive, flat-topped Grandstand Boulder, squatting at the base of Doctors’ Wall. Here you will find a variety of pleasant, short climbs, both trad and sport to 5.12, including a nice 5.7 link-up to the top of Blipvert. There is safe access to top anchors of many easy routes. Best of all, there is shade and cool air on the hottest of days.
